Admissions and Enrollment
The staff at North Rim Leadership Academy has over thirty
years of experience working with middle school and high
school age students. That experience allows us to make
two key determinations when reviewing your student for
admission.
• First, is this the right program for your child?
• Will he or she receive maximum benefit from the
time and money invested in North Rim Leadership Academy?
• Secondly, is your child right for this program?
• Will his or her skills and abilities blend well
with the program, the staff and the other students?
• In short, will this be an extremely positive experience
for all concerned and will that positive experience translate
into better relationships within the family and within
society as a whole?
We believe that North Rim Leadership Academy can be the last stop in the treatment
cycle for our students. We believe that North Rim Leadership Academy will open
your child's eyes to the wide variety of opportunities
that life offers. We believe that the North Rim Leadership Academy experience
will support their decision to be lifetime learners
and to recognize their potential as future leaders.
We believe that North Rim Leadership Academy helps kids to better understand
the potential that they have only begun to realize.
Understandably, not every child is a good match for
North Rim Leadership Academy, nor is it our objective
to be all things to all people. Given the wide experience
that our admissions staff has with adolescent treatment
options, we will work with you to identify more appropriate
types of intervention if your child is not ready or
willing to accept the challenges and opportunities of
North Rim Leadership Academy. Our objective is to provide your son or daughter
with the next best step in becoming a fulfilled person.
We have relationships with over 100 alternative facilities
and will conduct a thorough interview with you to determine
if one of these may be a better opportunity for your
child than North Rim Leadership Academy. We have all experienced the pain and
frustration of bad choices. The choice of where to place
your child should always feel as good as possible. We
believe that almost every child can benefit from North Rim Leadership Academy,
but, sometimes, intermediate steps may be needed to
insure that the child has achieved adequate emotional,
academic and social skills to make North Rim Leadership Academy the final step.
North Rim Leadership Academy strives to allow children
to achieve their maximum potential. Our mission is to
work with several student populations:
Students who have recently completed another treatment
program, but need additional work in utilizing newly
acquired skills in a real world scenario.
Students who have begun to show signs of risky behaviors
(skipping school, experimenting with drugs and alcohol,
inappropriate behavior toward peers, disrespect for
adults, inattention at school, inability to participate
in family activities, unhealthy attachment to computers
and computer games, etc.)
Students who seem to have lost purpose and are floundering.
This may include dropping out of activities (sports,
church, and other social activities)
Students who have become defiant, irresponsible, verbally
abusive or have lost contact with family values.
North Rim Leadership Academy offers these students an
opportunity to learn how to make better decisions and
to develop a better sense of respect for themselves
and those around them. The North Rim Leadership Academy
program allows students to learn more effective ways
of dealing with internal and external conflicts through
direct experience and from individual challenges and
group activities. We believe that this emphasis on individual
responsibility and group accountability leads our students
to a better understanding of themselves and the world
they live in.
Our ultimate goal at North Rim Leadership Academy is
to do everything possible to help your children become
maximum achievers.
Our total tuition enrollment amount for our entire program is $650.
